The One Tank Top Emily Ratajkowski, Addison Rae And Selena Gomez Can’t Get Enough Of This Summer

When Hunter Schafer made her striking appearance opening Prada’s autumn/winter 2022 show, clad in a classic white vest, the entire fashion landscape underwent an overnight metamorphosis. Since then, the tank top has firmly cemented its place as an indispensable item in every stylish woman’s capsule wardrobe. A year later, this humble piece retains its allure, but today’s most influential dressers are gravitating towards versions that evoke a more nostalgic vibe.

Case in point: this week, Emily Ratajkowski was spotted wearing a white bedazzled tank top by Vanna Youngstein emblazoned with the words “Cara Mia” across the front and two decorative hearts with an arrow going through them. The model and author completed her Y2K-inspired ensemble with olive low-rise Adrian Cashmere cargo pants, a black leather belt, brown Miu Miu rimless shades, a black leather Gucci baseball cap and a black pair of Salomon XT-6 trainers.

However, Ratajkowski isn’t the only star to sport this Noughties tank – both Selena Gomez and Addison Rae have been spotted wearing this bejewelled top this summer. Credit goes to stylist and designer Vanna Youngstein, who played a significant role in reviving slogan baby tees last summer, and whose creations feature regularly in the hit HBO series Euphoria – Maddy (Alexa Demie), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Jules (Schafer) and Kat (Barbie Ferreira) have all sported a Vanna Youngstein vest.
